A museum expert Alijca Knast from Poland talks about challenges the cultural establishments, namely museums are currently facing and will have to face in the near future due to Covid-19 pandemic in Poland and Europe. In addition, the measures taken by the Polish government to alleviate the effects of Covid-19 on cultural sphere are discussed. Furthermore, the impact of corona virus on tourism industry in Poland and the steps of the Polish government are reviewed.

Alijca Knast has been working with the museum sector since 1995. She has been involved in realization of number of important projects throughout Poland. She began her professional career at the National Museum in Poznan. Later on, she was a chief curator in the Fryderyk Chopin Museum (2009–2012) and CEO of the Core Exhibition in the Museum of the History of Polish Jews (2012–2014). Recently Alijca occupied the position of director of Muzeum Śląskie in Katowice.
